Biography

Best known as the composer, leader, and guitarist of The Willie August Project jazz trio, Ben Siems writes music ranging from acoustic folk to progressive/fusion jazz to avant-classical and ambient. He is based in Minnesota, where he is a six-time Minnesota Music Awards nominee. National honors Siems has received include a #1 New Addition charting on XM Radio Real Jazz 70, six grant awards from Meet the Composer, Inc., and listings in Who's Who in America 2007 and 2008.
