Biography
THE FATES BIO
The Fate isn’t waiting around for life to hand out any favors. The Fate is taking destiny into his own hands. To paraphrase a certain robotic sci-fi action from the 90s, the fate you make is your own. The Fate is working hard, paying dues and growing a devoted audience for his take-no-prisoners hip-hop. For The Fate, the future awaits.
Fuel of Fire
Many have searched and searched and searched, trying to locate the spark of life. The Fate can tell you right where it is. It’s in the music. There is the power of life, at least for him. “Music is like a fuel of fire to me,” he says. “It keeps me going.” It also serves as a stress reliever, while at the same time giving him a platform to turn that tension into heavy ideas manifesting as savvy lyrical gusto and muscular beat bumping. “There are days in which you’re angry, stressed, motivated – and you just have a lot on your mind. Music helps you release that, get it off your chest and clear your mind up.” And the end result is compelling hip-hop music for fans to devour.
Having Nothing
“Having nothing inspires me,” says The Fate, “not having that extra buck in your pocket.” No greater motivator exists than the need to succeed – and not for mere ego gratification. Success is purpose in life, the joy of coming up from nothing and building a satisfying life, a life satiated with material comfort – and the fulfillment of great art. It’s not greed, money for money’s sake. It’s not raging ego. It is the contentment of a life well-lived, of one’s self-potential met and exceeded. Call it job satisfaction.
The Artist at Work
“I’ve got a lot on my plate right now,” says The Fate. “I’m currently shooting my first Music Video for my hit single ‘Westcoast Movement,’ which will premiere on MTV and BET. I also run my own radio show every Saturday night at Grymme Radio.” The Fate has opened for Epic Records’ Nikki Flores and the legend Ice T. A new single is also on the way, he has announced. Live performances are also being booked all the time. “There are always shows coming. The grind never stops.” The Fate is hard at it writing new material for fan consumption. “We are finally closing up the Give Some 2 Get Some project, which sold more than 5,000 copies independently.” Recording is also one of the things on his plate; the studio, says The Fate, is his second home. When he’s not busy with his own material, he’s recording for fellow artists’ records. The Fate has also announced a massive album release party celebrating a double-disc release that will boast DVD footage documenting the album’s development. He is currently working with A&R Select, the hottest indie A&R firm in Hollywood, CA.
“We can only be grateful that The Fate is as busy as he is; it’s the listener that wins with The Fate’s infectious hip-hop hooks.”
